Katie Biron

Katie Biron brings her invaluable experience as a foster caregiver and adoptive parent to the oversight board. Her passion for helping caregivers and parents build child-centered relationships inspired the creation of the Family Connections Program™ , which received unanimous legislative support and was enacted into law in 2020.

Katie is also a children’s book author. The Love Tree, her debut children’s book, helps children understand the concept of open adoption. Through beautiful illustrations, this heartwarming story gently introduces children to family diversity as Little Mouse, a young adoptee, discovers the true meaning of family.

Katie is the proud parent of four amazing kids. In her spare time, she enjoys crafting, gardening, and dreaming of the day she can finish her coffee while it’s still hot.
