Mary is a Senior Policy Advisor for Governor Bob Ferguson focusing on child welfare, early learning, and juvenile rehabilitation. Previously, she was a Senior Policy Advisor with DCYF where she furthered the Department’s legislative agenda by developing policy and funding requests and worked in partnership with advocates, lawmakers, and community members.
Prior to DCYF, Mary worked for Ballmer Group on early childhood and child welfare issues. Mary started her career in DC, advocating for increased federal funding for early childhood programs at the National Head Start Association. Mary holds experience in government systems, philanthropy, and non-profit organizations with a focus on child welfare, early childhood, and adolescent issues.
She resides in Seattle with her husband and daughter.
