Judge Sharonda D. Amamilo is a dedicated public servant with more than 21 years of experience as a trial judge and trial counsel. Guided by a deep sense of purpose, she focuses her work on advancing fairness, accountability, and compassion within the justice system—particularly in matters involving children and families. Her approach emphasizes collaboration, listening, and problem-solving to ensure that decisions promote safety, stability, and lasting well-being for children and their caregivers.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Adult Education, a Master of Business Administration, and a Juris Doctor. Her years of service as a Chief Warrant Officer in the U.S. Army Reserves continue to inform her commitment to integrity, discipline, and service to others.
Judge Amamilo actively contributes to system improvement through statewide and national initiatives, including the Family Well-Being Community Collaborative, the Washington State Sentencing Guidelines Commission, and the National Judicial Network on Human Trafficking and Immigration in State Courts.
Described as an Advocate (INFJ), she values connection, continuous learning, and thoughtful leadership. A proud member of American Legion Post 94–Lacey, Judge Amamilo remains devoted to supporting families, veterans, and her broader community through collaboration and compassionate service.
